The selection panel for the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2009 is Tania Kovats, Artist; Roger Malbert, Senior Curator, Hayward Touring Exhibitions, South Bank Centre; Nicholas Usherwood, Writer, Art Critic & Curator.

The Selection Panel will choose 40-50 drawings from the open submission to form the exhibition, the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2009. Four awards will be made: a First Prize of £6,000; Second Prize of £3,000; and two Student Awards of £1,000 each.

Artists may submit up to three drawings made or completed since January 2008. The maximum size is 2.5m x 2m. Please refer to the Conditions of Entry for full information about eligible works and the submission process.

Artists register their application online by 5pm on 22nd June 2009, and submit their work through one of the Collection Centres on the specified date between 26th June and 4th July 2009. Please see Submissions timetable for the details.

The selected exhibition will be accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue, including biographical details of the artists and a statement about their selected drawing(s). The exhibition will be launched at the Jerwood Space, London on 15th September 2009, when the awards will be announced.
